Graduation Poem

being mindful used to mean listening well to guidance and following it "you be mindful of what your daddy told you" I just used the old meaning in this sentence we have graduated, and mindful has a new meaning our graduation was from listening well to another to listening well to ourselves in this moment I like this new meaning much more © 2009-2010 Benjamin Dean

A Poem about Conflict

conflict is an interesting subject as it brings to mind external strife however, is anything ever external? strife and conflict are born within amid the scattering of self through mind torn apart from simplicity and wonder the anxious to be loved plots to be when letting go of plotting is all love self and be without conflict love others and lose self in peace © 2009-2010 Benjamin Dean

Well Bread

I am sitting at this coffee shop it is my usual place to hang out while writing these things (poems) it is crowded today (quite so) out come the intimidation acts (i.e. "I deserve that booth more than you") and so this couple with noses in the air work their stuff to try to oust me pulling out the stops of entitlement so I am writing this poem about them while they focus on someone else © 2009-2010 Benjamin Dean
